The Prayer Garden gets over 2000 visitors each day
May 2nd 2008
The concept behind The Prayer Garden was Julie Anderson's. She wanted to create a place online that; brought glory to God's name, was a testimony to creativity and gave everyone the opportunity to take a journey that would be exciting, inspirational to your prayer life, and provide peace, rest and strength. A place you will feel refreshed.
We chose The Message version of the Bible as we felt the wording would grab your attention and communicate the various stages of the garden in a very real way and whether Christian or not, many of our visitors aren't, the text would challenge, inspire, encourage and provoke personal times of reflection, devotion, healing and refreshing.
We felt very strongly that we needed to have an opportunity for salvation and so at the river scene, the cross is the first thing you visit.
The responses are incredible. We have seen people from all over the world come through the garden and leave amazing feedback on what they have seen, experienced and felt God say to them. Here are just a few examples:
"The prayer journal is beautiful and inspirational. I look foward to starting this journey. Thank you for developing such a precious tool to encourage people. I will definitely pass it on. God bless you. Kind regards, T."
"I want to think you very much for the prayer garden. As I pass through the garden, I really thought about what it had said. Today we buried the body of a loved one and this really did help me. I want to think you all for putting this together. I will save it so I can go back to it from time to time"
"This is the most beautiful put together prayer garden I have ever seen. And it speaks the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is just so peaceful and serene. Thank you for sharing this. I can`t express enough how wonderful this is and how it touches my heart. You know the Good Lord was with whoever did this because He is on every page here. He is also right beside me as I am here. I am blessed to have entered. Thank you, in Gods` name may you be blessed. Sincerely, C."
Future Plans:
We have always intended to develop it further - you'll notice at the fountain there are three paths but only one is active...that's intentional. In fact the garden is only one experience of a bigger picture we are working on. You'll have to join our mailing list to stay in touch.
