Prophecy regarding the Hispanic Community
Julie Anderson

The Lord spoke to me a couple of years ago driving through Oxnard, California out of the blue. We were heading from Ventura to Los Angeles and I was miles away thinking about London. Out of the blue the Lord began to talk to me and said, "I am going to raise up the profile of the Hispanic People. I am going to bless them beyond measure, and cause them to be role models of MY church. Great multiplication will come to them and quickly. I am going to raise up large numbers of Hispanic Churches and they will be strong and united. There will be a time of uniting them within their cultural values, and there will also be a time of integration with the rest of the church. There will also be a time of purging the other parts of the church to recognize the blessings I will bestow upon the Hispanic Church because of their attitude of heart. Watch out for them, Look out for them, Pray for them. I am going to cause the church and the community to look at them and take note of My blessing upon them."

I was taken by surprise, as I am called to London, although I understand this involves bridge building to other nations. I am English, and my nation is deeply in my heart where my calling functions, and while we often travel to Spain, I realised that this wrong attitude towards the Hispanic community is more noticeable in California than in London. There are other attitudes towards other nationalities in London, but not predominantly with Hispanic peoples.

It still seemed unusual that the Lord arrested my attention in the middle of Oxnard, California, which somehow seemed to be important geographically on the West Coast of the United States and I felt the Lord was sending this as a message.

As I began to give myself to 'watching and praying' for the Hispanic people I noticed how incredible the vast majority of them are in honouring their families, and holding Godly and family values. I realised how humbled they have been within society, again noticeably in California, and within the richness of humility I could see how they would be honoured.

It's as if 'the world' socially in the community looks down upon them, but the Lord looks down upon them quite differently. The rest of the Body of Christ has much to learn from the attitude of the Hispanic side of the family of God. (Many snobs have looked down upon them, but the Lord is against pride and is not answering the prayers of the proud!) The Lord looks down upon the heart and our heart attitude must be that of humility if we are going to have any Christian success at all in serving one another .

I was recently ministering in a mainly Hispanic church in Phoenix, with a
congregation of around 3500 people, and they believe they will have 10,000 people by the end of this year, and that they will be able to fill the football stadium of their city for a prayer rally.

They preach and sing their worship songs in Spanish and English, using an overhead projector with both languages! There are several leaders who take turns in interpreting the messages and prophecy in the meetings. The atmosphere is full of the love of God and its electric with a growing passion to learn how to pray.

The pastor shared with me that within their congregation there are some young yuppie American born Hispanic believers who try to detach themselves from the identification of being Latino or Hispanic because of social stigma. He said they prefer to be spoken to only in English.

But the word of the Lord came to them also saying, "Do not deny your inheritance or give up your birthright for the world. For I have predestined you to a great inheritance and I will honour and bless you for being proud of who you are!" A friend of mine told me years ago that 'we should have nothing to prove, and nothing to protect. ' What a great attitude.

You see the world looks down, but when the Lord looks down into their hearts and finds their humility, and family values and love, they become His treasure. The Lord likes to work with His treasures. Their sweet passion and reverence, keeping their lives and worship pure, simple and true is well received by the Lord in heaven.

One dear young teenage girl came up to me after the service, with tears of joy running down her face and as she hugged me, she whispered in my ear very shyly, "Thank you for your message on prayer. The Lord answers EVERYTlllNG I pray for. He is SO wonderful. "

I stood back and looked again into her face and once again noticed her amazing humility and the shining graces of joy flooding her face with the obvious feeling that comes from so much answered prayer. Pray with a pure heart until your joy is full.

Recently we visited a family who manages a large fruit farm with many acres of land in Bakersfield, California. We were out in the fields early in the morning watching Hispanic workers gathering beautiful fresh grapes from the vines that they were boxing up to ship all over the world. On our way to see other fruit and vegetables being picked, we stopped and watched a machine shake almonds from almond trees, and it was an incredible sight. The machine took its two mechanical hands and gripped the tree trunk, and then it shook it violently until masses of ready almonds all fell to the ground.

Finally, in the other fields there were workers ploughing the ground, and turning over fresh white onions that would be used as dried herbs.

Most of the workers were Hispanic, and they were all working very hard. I felt for the workers in the heat of the morning and began to pray for them. Immediately the Lord began to communicate with me, and showed me how pleased He was with all these people.

The words 'prophetic picture' came to my mind and then the Lord spoke again. "On the earth, the Hispanic Church is in the vineyards working and picking the ripe fruit and the Lord is with them. Great harvest is coming and great multiplication is coming. There will be many surprised how I will bring the harvest blessing to the Hispanic church first, but they have worked hard, and humility is the key to the rewards. What you are seeing is prophetic of what I am doing in my church among the nations!"

I did not say much and was quiet driving back to the farmer's home. The grapes were the sweetest ones you could ever taste. My heart was in much prayer for the workers. You know the outside world judges the outside of our lives, but the Lord looks upon the insides of our lives. and considers the intents of our hearts.

I believe the Lord wants us to look around us carefully, and do our best to see what He's seeing. He sees every people group as incredibly unique and important to His plan. Each and every "people" have a particular display of God's grace upon them right now that we need to understand. God is painting an awesome portrait, and weaving a majestic tapestry of strong love between us all. This can only be because of His "soon to be revealed" glory that is coming upon His church.

Pray for one another more than ever in this season, this harvest season. Let the fruit be gathered into His barns.
